FOUNDER ATHLETE BRIEFING

Every plan just made it worse.

"I have a routine I can keep even when the new baby comes in November so I don't lose it all again and have to restart."

That's what he said in the intake form when he booked the first call.

We're talking about a man who's building an exciting business, traveling the country running workshops.

The shitty, unspoken part? He's been gaining weight for the past 15 years, and snapping at his kid for reasons he doesn't even understand anymore.

When I asked him what he tried prior to our call, he gave me the list: "Courses, books, gym memberships, at home, desk treadmill."

Catching momentum for a few weeks, then crashing down the moment work ramps up.

The root of the problem

We're looking at a man who educates himself. He isn't clueless.

The logistics of previous plans clearly didn't work. But that wasn't it.

The problem wasn't lack of good information.

It wasn't even the logistics of it all.

It was the anxiety built from years of failed attempts.

He didn't see how he could do this. Not with everything going on.

Exhausted, defeated. But he still showed up.

The solution he didn't expect

He was ready to follow another plan. This time, with me in his corner.

I had a different idea.

The only thing we had to tackle first was that crippling anxiety.

We're talking about a man who gets his kid ready for school first thing in the morning, so his pregnant wife can get some rest. He then drives to different cities to give full-day workshops. Survives on canapés. Gets back home exhausted, barely notices his kid, inhales the dinner, then waits for everyone to fall asleep so he can decompress. Oh, and he raids the pantry while at it.

The move? We flip the script.

Front-load his day with a big, complete, convenient breakfast. Convenient matters most. It puts him in a low-stress state and takes food off his mind.

Strategic lunch and snack later in the day to refuel.

The current state of things

Last week he came back from a lake house. Four families, a table of junk every night once the babies went down. Ate some of it. Two pounds up. Not worried. Then this: "I didn't reach out over this trip because I just didn't need to."

From not believing he'll make it to barely needing me halfway through the program.

The anxiety is gone. 10 lbs dropped like it was nothing.

He's now ready to get real about his physical transformation.

P.S. If you want a meal plan, don't book. If there's a date coming you're afraid will wipe you out, a baby, a busy season, a launch, that's the Restart Audit. 45 minutes, you lay it all out, I tell you what I'd tackle first. It's rarely the food. Grab a slot here. >>
