FOUNDER ATHLETE BRIEFING

What if cardio was always the point?

This little nugget here holds the truth to a true physical and mental transformation.

A few weeks before, this gentleman asked me if a short run would interfere with his strength workout.

I don't blame him.

The fitness space is full of these types of messages.

  • "Stop endless cardio!"
  • "Cardio makes you weak!"
  • "Cardio will eat your muscle!"

The question is - what if you were born to be a fucking endurance athlete?

What if it was the only sport that made you feel IT?

Should you stop cardio to protect muscle? Or longevity?

Fuck. That.

Now, let's rewind a bit.

The moment you ask that question to your coach...

Is the moment I know it's over.

We've done the groundwork - the nutrition and training changes - that's necessary for you to get curious again.

Now you're becoming yourself again. You're looking for the opportunity to do the sport you love.

Is it gonna slow down muscle growth? Affect strength? Maybe.

But do you give a shit?

What matters is that you're back.

My role is to make sure this is not a fluke.

So I'll reorganize everything so you can lean into it.

Your nutrition will start fueling your runs and accelerate recovery from endurance work.

Your strength training will still get you lean and strong, but it'll be geared towards better output in your chosen sport.

Things will change, and so will you.

And it's the best thing that can happen.

Never ignore that little voice in your head.

It's what drives lasting transformations.

Not someone's protocols. An infrastructure built around who you are at your core.

P.S. Three months later...
